Hello,

Welcome, I am so glad you are prioritising Rest.

Is it time to put your feet up?

Some kind words…

  • "This was my first time trying reflexology and I am totally converted. I entered feeling pretty broken both physically and mentally fast approaching my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and left feeling like I was floating. Will definitely be visiting Sarah regularly going forward for the rest of my pregnancy and beyond. Sarah creates such a warm, relaxing & safe atmosphere and is so knowledgeable of her craft."

    - Ivana B.

  • "Sarah has a beautifully healing touch, soft and caring plus she really knows the feet! Intuitive and just right amount of pressure, I left floating and found I later had loads of energy that evening..highly recommended!"

    - Mary S.

  • "Sarah is a knowledgable professional who offered me a session of reflexology treatments on my feet and hands to heal the body and mind. She has a relaxing treatment room and friendly calming personality that puts you at ease allowing you to enjoy your time with her. Sarah also attended my home on a few occasions and this flexibility was most useful in my busy life. I noticed my stress levels decrease and I generally felt better after my weekly sessions of which I had 10."

FAQs

  • Reflexology is the technique of stimulating specific reflex points on the feet using gentle pressure and massage with the aim to increase blood, lymph and energy flow throughout the body.

It is a deeply relaxing ancient holistic practise that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, hands or face correspond to organs, structures and systems of the body. Our bodies can become unbalanced during times of stress or illness, blocking the natural flow of energy.

Applying reflexology can help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging the body and mind to return to a place of balance.

  • Reflexology is a relaxing, non-invasive holistic therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between.

However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment.

Some of the contraindications and cautions which may mean there is a reason not to treat may include:

    • Fever 37.8 >

    • First trimester of pregnancy

    • Infectious or contagious skin condition (such as Impetigo, chicken pox)

The best thing to do would be to get in touch with me to discuss any concerns you might have.

  • 4-5 sessions are recommended initially as the effects of reflexology are accumulative, followed by maintenance treatments depending on the reason for treatment.

  • We will spend sometime discussing your wellbeing consultation where I understand your needs and design a bespoke treatment plan.

Sessions include the use of organic foot balms which are specifically selected depending on your wellbeing needs.

At the end of the session I will guide you with 3 conscious, grounding breaths to bring you back into the body.
